OCO Fellowship Programme 2025-26
This project aims to explore and highlight the rich Chandua craft traditions of Odisha. By working closely with artisans and studying regional practices, it traces the histories, techniques, and cultural meanings embedded in this art form. The focus is on acknowledging its diverse narratives and preserving the knowledge that continues to shape this significant craft tradition.

ଓଡ଼ିଶା କ୍ରାଫ୍ଟ ଓଡେଶୀ (OCO) ହେଉଛି MGM ଫାଉଣ୍ଡେସନ ଏବଂ BEADS ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସହଯୋଗାତ୍ମକ ଉଦ୍ୟମ | ଏହି ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ଏକ ସମ୍ମିଳିତ, ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ମଂଚ ସୃଷ୍ଟି କରିବା ର ପରିକଳ୍ପନା କରିଛି ଯାହା ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଶିଳ୍ପ ପ୍ରଥା ଗୁଡ଼ିକ ଉପରେ ଆଲୋକପାତ କରିଥାଏ ଏବଂ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଏସିଆର ଲଳିତକଳା ଏବଂ ହସ୍ତଶିଳ୍ପ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ପଦାନୁକ୍ରମକୁ ଆହ୍ୱାନ କରିଥାଏ |

ଏକାଦଶ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀର ଗଙ୍ଗ ରାଜବଂଶ ସମୟରୁ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ଧାତୁ ହସ୍ତଶିଳ୍ପର ଏକ ଗୌରବମୟ ଇତିହାସ ରହିଛି ଏବଂ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ କ୍ରମାଗତ ଭାବରେ ବିକଶିତ ହୋଇଆସୁଛି, ଯାହାକି ଓଡ଼ିଶା ହସ୍ତଶିଳ୍ପର ଗର୍ବ | ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ବାଳକାଟୀ ଗାଁ କଂସା ପିତଳ ବାସନ ଏବଂ ମନ୍ଦିର ସାମଗ୍ରୀର ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଉତ୍ପାଦନ ପାଇଁ ପରିଚିତ | ଏଠାରେ ଏହି ଶିଳ୍ପର ମୂଳଦୁଆ ପ୍ରାୟ 1400 ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟାବ୍ଦରେ ପଡ଼ିଥିଲା ବୋଲି କୁହାଯାଏ |
କଂସା ଏବଂ ପିତଳକୁ ବିଶୁଦ୍ଧ ଧାତୁ ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚନା କରାଯାଏ ଏବଂ ଏହା ବାସନ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତି ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରାଥମିକ ସାମଗ୍ରୀ | ବାଳକାଟିରେ ପାଦ ଦେବା ମାତ୍ରକେ ହାତୁଡ଼ିର ତାଳ ଆମ କାନରେ ପଡ଼େ ଏବଂ କାରିଗରମାନେ ନିଜ ଶିଳ୍ପରେ ମଗ୍ନଥିବା ପରିଲକ୍ଷିତ କରାଯାଏ |
