Born in 1983 in Khalisahi bell metal craft cluster, Gyana Sahoo preeminently makes thalia(plate), jhanja(cymbals), gina, tatiya(bowl), sabu, and chatiki. His father, Giridhari Sahoo, was also a khanjari, and Gyana learned all techniques from him. Along with him, four other people are working with him in making crafts in his workshop. As part of the family legacy, his wife, Rasmita Sahoo, also helps him in different phases of making bell metal objects.
