About the Shows

Odisha's rich craft heritage is beautifully reflected in its traditional Metal Crafts and Chandua Work. Flourishing since the Ganga Dynasty in the 11th century, metal craftsmanship is especially renowned in Balakati village of Khordha district for its brass and bell-metal utensils, temple articles, and ritual objects. Complementing this legacy is the vibrant Chandua appliqué craft of Pipili, known for its colourful fabric designs inspired by mythology, nature, and the traditions of Lord Jagannath. Together, these crafts showcase the enduring artistry, cultural identity, and skilled craftsmanship of Odisha.
