Madhusudhan, now 72, has vast experience working in this craft. During his time, the society they formed at Balipatna used to provide material to the artisans and received the finished products to sell. With a proportion of 1kg copper and 280 gm of tin quality kansa products were achieved. Earlier parakala or bhanra was used to etch designs on utensils for which at least two people were required but now a times fulakata chheni is used to design them. The Kansari community used to mark their teeth using parakala to embrace their community.
