Born in 1963, Nandalal Sahu, an experienced artisan from the Katapalli cluster, handles both commission work and substantial orders. As an artisan, he creates a specific type of plates named after their size variations, including local names such as Seri, Gabru, and Majli. Additionally, he produces a typical thali that he calls Bengali Thali. Most of his work is sold to Bargarh, and he takes commissions accordingly. Nandalal is also retired school teacher and is the former president of kansari samaj in Katapalli.
