ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଜୀବନ୍ତ ଚାନ୍ଦୁଆ ପରମ୍ପରା, କାରିଗରଙ୍କ ଜ୍ଞାନ ଓ ଶ୍ରମକୁ ନେଇ ପ୍ରକାଶ ପାଇଛି ଦ୍ୱିଭାଷୀ ପୁସ୍ତକ ‘ଚାନ୍ଦୁଆ: କାନୋପିଜ୍ ଅଫ୍ ଲେବର୍’। ଭୁବନେଶ୍ୱର ଓଡ଼ିଶା ରିସର୍ଚ୍ଚ ସେଣ୍ଟର୍ ରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା କ୍ରାଫ୍ଟ ଓଡିସି ସିମ୍ପୋସିୟମ୍ ୨୦୨୬ର ସମାପନୀ ଅଧିବେଶନରେ ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକର ଉନ୍ମୋଚନ ହୋଇଛି। ପୁସ୍ତକଟି ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଓ ଇଂରାଜୀ ଭାଷାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଛି। ୪୫ଟି କାରିଗରୀ ପୁଞ୍ଜକୁ ନେଇ ପ୍ରାୟ ୯ ମାସ ଧରି ହୋଇଥିବା ଗବେଷଣାର ଏହା ଫଳ। ଏହି ଗବେଷଣାରେ ୨୫୫ରୁ ଅଧିକ କାରିଗରଙ୍କ ସହ ଯୋଗାଯୋଗ, କ୍ଷେତ୍ରସ୍ତରୀୟ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ, ଅଭିଲେଖୀୟ ଗବେଷଣା ଓ କାରିଗରଙ୍କ ଜୀବନୀକୁ ସାମିଲ କରାଯାଇଛି। Odisha’s rich Chandua craft tradition and the knowledge and labour of its artisans have been documented in the new bilingual book ‘Chandua: Canopies of Labour’. The book was launched during the concluding session of the Odisha Craft Odyssey Symposium 2026 at the Odisha Research Centre in Bhubaneswar.
