Odisha Craft Odyssey hosted a vibrant exhibition at Lalit Kala Academy, Bhubaneswar, celebrating the rich intersection of art and craft. The event, open to the public, began with interactions between esteemed dignitaries and artists, followed by a documentary screening and curatorial presentations. Highlights included Disharee Mathur’s discussion on design intervention, Ritaban Ghosh’s research paper, and Kirti Kumari’s stunning photography display. A panel discussion featuring the esteemed Jagannath Panda provided deeper insights into the art community, while members of the Kansari Paribaar Bikasa O Unnayana Parishad offered valuable perspectives on the craft heritage. The event, which aimed to promote and preserve Odisha's craft traditions, concluded with a commitment from MGM and BEADS to return next year with a new focus on a different craft cluster, continuing the legacy of this significant cultural initiative.

Bringing together traditional artisans, contemporary designers, researchers, and cultural practitioners, the exhibition created a platform for dialogue between heritage and innovation. Through carefully curated displays, live demonstrations, and interactive engagements, visitors were offered a deeper understanding of the craftsmanship, cultural narratives, and evolving practices of Odisha’s bell metal tradition. The exhibition highlighted not only the artistic excellence of the craft but also the importance of sustaining artisan livelihoods and preserving indigenous knowledge systems for future generations.
